Togetherness
by Thomas R. Montoya
Death is not at all.
I have only slipped away into the next house.
Whatever we were to each other, we still are.
Call me by my name Tom/Monty.
Speak to me with the same ease you always have.
Laughed as we always laughed at the jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, and pray for me.
Life means all

that it ever meant.
It is the same as it always was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of my relative’s mind because I am out of their sight?
I am waiting for one of you to join me for eternity, somewhere very near, just around the corner.
All is well. Nothing has been lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before – only better.
Infinitely happier.
We will be one together FOREVER.

Gracias. Descansa en PAZ.
