Troy Frerich

Troy David Frerich, 76, of Lockhart, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 20, 2016.  Troy was born on May 14, 1940 to Andy and Agatha Frerich of String Prairie, Texas.  He was a loving husband, wonderful father, and an awesome grandpa.
Troy moved to Austin and started his career in the printing business at Steck Co., which changed to Steck-Warlick, and then to Hart Graphic

s.  He started his 42-year career as a shipping clerk and worked most every department on up to his last title as an Account Manager.  He retired in 2001 when Hart Graphics closed their doors.
After retiring, he started ranching, which he dearly loved for the last 15 years.  In that time, he taught his grandsons how to ranch by getting them involved in working cattle, fence building, and a multitude of other chores around the ranch.
Troy loved traveling.  He had a mission to visit as many states as he could.  Family vacations were a hit every summer, pulling the travel trailer to various states camping along the way and seeing the countryside.  He even got to see Alaska on his favorite cruise.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 56 years, Jonelle; and his three daughters: Robin and husband Curtis Genz, Rhonda and husband Randy Till, and Susan and husband Tom Callahan.  Grandpa will be missed by his seven grandchildren: Travis and Lindsey Genz; Kendall, Trent and Logan Till; and Kip and Cailyn Callahan.
A visitation was scheduled on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 6-7:30 p.m. with a rosary following at 7:30 p.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home in Lockhart, Texas.  A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, String Prairie, Texas.
Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
