Two LISD students are All State Musicians

For the second year in a row, LHS Senior Lucas Nix has been selected for the TMEA All State Large School Tenor/Bass Choir. Additionally, Elias Hernandez, LHS Senior Saxophonist, earned a position in the TMEA 5A All State Band.
All State selection is the most prestigious award that a Texas high school musician can receive. These Lions were selected after four rounds of auditions from thousands of aspiring high school musicians from across the state. Their reward: performing with their respective All State ensembles at the Texas Music Educators Association Clinic and Convention in February.
