JH Lions take 3 of 4 from AJB

Lockhart Junior High’s 7th Grade A team remained unbeaten at 6-0 after routing Seguin AJB last week, 36-6.

The 7th Grade B Lions lost to AJB, 32-27.

Both 8th Grade teams for LJHS won – the A team Lions cruising to a 57-19 win and the B team winning, 26-25.

Lockhart Junior High Head Coach Willie Boyd credited Miguel Sustaya, Trey Johnson, and Leeland Smith for standout games or the 7th Grade A Lions, and Jayden De La Rosa, Zaine Herrera, and Sergio Gomez likewise for the 7th Grade B Lions.

As for the 8th Grade Lions, Boyd credited A team players Zeke Navarro and Zarri Dawson for strong games, while he praised the play of 8th Grade B players Jacob Estrada and Jacob Octavo.
