Versie L Johnson

One of Lockhart’s Own Returns Home.

 It is with both happiness and sadness that we say our mother, Versie L Johnson “Dixie” is making her final return home to Texas. We’re sad because we will miss her dearly; however, we are happy because she is back home where she wanted to be. Versie was born and raised in Lockhart, TX.  She graduated from the old Carver High School on E Market St. She met and married Cyril D Johnson who was stationed at Gary AFB in San Marcos.His commission would take them to Canada, Wisconsin, Colorado, and California. She was a stay-at-home mom for 12 years and a multi-tasker before the terms were coined, as she had 5 children from the marriage. She began her career in 1970 working with Pacific Bell Telephone Coin CA and she also retired from Pacific Bell. Please join us in saying, Welcome Back Home!
