William “Bill” Caswell Quinn

July 26, 1942 – March 11, 2025
William “Bill” Caswell Quinn passed away peacefully at his home in Lockhart, Texas, surrounded by his family on March 11, 2025. Bill was born on July 26, 1942, to Frankie O. Quinn and Marie McCoy Quinn.
Bill lived a life of adventure when he joined the Army in 1960. He served his country proudly for 4 years active duty and 2 years reserved duty, stationed mainly in Germany, during the Cold War era. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and certified as a sharpshooter on the M-14 Rifle. He married the love of his life, Patsy Lee Sawyer Quinn, on May 29, 1964,
Bill and Patsy were married for 60 years and had two children, David Louis Quinn and Teresa Lynne Quinn Donnell. Bill worked construction operating heavy equipment and working on many jobs throughout the state of Texas. Bill’s work ethic and ability to operate any equipment set him apart from others and he became well known throughout the Houston area as “the” operator to have on any job. After many years of working in construction, Bill attended Austin Community College where he obtained an associate degree in accounting. Bill worked as an accountant for ten years until he became, in his words, “bored”. Bill came home one day and told Patsy he was buying a big truck and going into business for himself. Bill established Double Eagle Transport and retired doing what he loved.
To his family, Bill was a rock. He was the sound of reason in the storm, the provider, the leader, and the one everyone turned to when needing advice. Bill loved his family fiercely and would do anything in the world for them without hesitation. He taught them to be a man of your word because in this world, your word is all you have to let others know they can rely on you.
Bill is survived by his wife Patsy, his son David (Dawn), and their children, Madison Chavira (Jose), Shelby Martinez (Kyle), and Robert Quinn, his daughter Teresa Donnell (Frank), and their children Brianna Rodriguez (Travis) and William Rodriguez (Andrianna). Bill is survived by his great grandchildren, Logan Price, Luke Rodriguez, and Trey Chavira, and many nieces and nephews whom he loved as his own. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Frankie and Marie Quinn, his siblings, Charles David Quinn, Betty Joyce Holloway, and Alfreda Elaine Fowler.
Bill’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to his niece, Arlene Brooks, for her unwavering support through caregiving for Patsy and Bill throughout the last few months.
