Carolyn Ann Meier, of Pflugerville, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, after a long and valiant battle with COPD and Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Carol was born on Feb. 3, 1949, in Austin, Texas, where she grew up with her two younger sisters. She attended Lanier High School and remembered fondly her days as one of the very first Lanier Vikettes.

Besides being an

accomplished cook, Carol was known for her great sense of humor, her hearty laugh, and the mischievous twinkle in her eyes. She was a woman who loved deeply, and rejoiced in her family.

Carol is survived by her loving husband, Bill Meier; her mother and step-father, Carolyn and Bob Patterson, of San Antonio; sisters, Gay Sapp of Oahu, Hawaii, and Kay Neiman of San Antonio; children: Scott Leggett (Eileen), of Round Rock, Shaela Wilson (Clifford), of Lockhart, Leigh Ann Sughrue (Jeff), of Round Rock, Dana Germer (Waylon), of Southport, N.C., Jud Meier (Janet), of Lockhart, and Brandy Eldridge (David), of Austin; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and niece, Kelee Neiman.

A memorial service is scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on December 29, 2009, at Hope Bible Fellowship, 3805 Stonebridge Drive, Round Rock, Texas.
