Zared M. Castelan

Zared Mackarely Castelan, 17, of Dale, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, in Caldwell County. She was born on July 23, 1993 to Augustin and Raquel Castelan in Austin, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Efarin Benetiz.

Zared is survived by her parents; brothers, Edwin and Ulises Castelan; sisters, Maria and Pamela Castelan; and g

randparents: Gregorio Castelan, Maria Jaimes and Romalda Carbaja.

Family received friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at the Lockhart High School Gymnasium, with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at San Francisco Catholic Church, 9110 US Highway 183 South, Austin, Texas 78747, with Father Cesar Guzman Diaz officiating. Interment followed at Lockhart City Cemetery in Lockhart, Texas.
