Scoring for the Lions was Michael Aldridge with 11 points, Ryan Houston with four points, and Dominique Hardaway with two points.
“We had good defensive play from Robert Castaneda, David Dinh, Ryan Houston, and Michael Aldridge,

” said Coach Andrew Corpus. “This was a tough first game. We have many things that we need to improve upon in a short week of practice. The main thing we need to do, however, is compete and have fun out there on the court.”
The Lockhart Lion 8th grade “white” basketball team was also defeated by San Marcos Miller in a close scoring game, 21-22, on Thursday evening, Nov. 17.
Dalton Dabbs led the Lions with nine points. Also scoring was Ryan Hitter with four points, Manuel Hernandez with two points, Daniel Herrera with two points, Nolan Lockhart with two points, and Kenny Brite with two points.
Defensively, Nolan Lockhart did an outstanding job of rebounding.
The Lockhart Lions 7th grade “maroon” basketball team came out on the other end of a 49-4 ball game Thursday night, Nov. 17, against San Marcos Miller.
“I was proud on how they handled themselves despite the loss,” said Coach Harold Abayan. “Miller came out with a half-court press and our ball handling and passing was not good enough to set up our offense.
“Defensively, we had too many miscues and that led to easy fast break opportunities. The score however, is not indicative on how hard our team played. They hustled from beginning to end and played better in the second half,” he added.
The Lockhart Lion 7th grade “white” team lost a tough game, 19-12, to San Marcos Miller on Thursday, Nov. 17.
“Our kids played hard and never quit,” said Coach Chris Mata.
“Paul Brite led the Lions with six points, and had much help by Tim Gill and Kevin Silva. The offense was held together by our point guard Landon,” he added.
