Jose Pablo Trejo, 72, of Lockhart, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home Monday, on March 21, 2016, surrounded by his family.
Jose “Joe T” was born Feb. 29, 1944, in Lockhart to Antonio and Lupe (Tienda) Trejo. Joe attended Lockhart public schools.
Jose married Lupe Oliva on Sept. 28, 1968 in Lockhart, and to this union were born eight children.
Joe worked as a Meat

Cutter at Kreuz Market, and Smitty’s BarBQ.
Jose was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Pete Trejo.
Joe is survived by his wife, Lupe Trejo, of Lockhart; children: Naomi Trejo, of Seguin, Joe Paul Trejo (Olga), of Lockhart, Sonya (Juan Manuel) Torres, of Lockhart, Mark Trejo, of Lockhart, Alma Trejo, of Dale, Stephen Trejo, of Lockhart, Alex Trejo, of Lockhart, and Marivette Trejo, of Houston; siblings: Manuella Vargas, of Austin, Lilly Jackson, of Lockhart, Estella Natal, of Austin, Mary Ingram of Orange, Tony Trejo, of Mineola, Ramon Trejo, of Mineola, and Gabriel Trejo, of Mineola; 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation was slated on Tuesday, from 1 – 9 p.m., at Eeds Funeral Home Chapel, and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., with Recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m., with Deacon Lupe Aguilar officiating.
A Mass of Celebration was planned at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Thursday at 10 a.m., with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery with Father Ed Karasek officiating. Serving as Pallbearers are Ezekiel JT Trejo, Joe Paul Trejo, III, Stephen Trejo, Tony Trejo III, John Matthew Torres and Pete Reyes.

    As I see you picture I remember your smile and how joyous you always were when you were around all our family. My brother Little Joe always considered you his best friend.
