Clara Segler was born March 22, 1921 in Houston to Alphonse E. and Emma (Bratton) Frederic. She and Herbert E. “Buddy” Webb were married in Houston. She later married Macon Forrest “Woody” James and after his death on Jan. 27, 1969, she was married to Harold Segler until his death on May 7, 2006.
She was a member of First Assembly of God where she taught children’s
church. Clara also was a composer of hymns. She has a book of songs that the Lord gave to her. One of her favorite’s is “Keep Your Mind on Jesus.”
Her husband Harold was late coming home one evening, and instead of having negative thoughts, she wrote the song “Keep Your Mind on Jesus.”
Clara and Harold helped start a Christian School in Missouri City, Texas, and when they moved to Lockhart, they had a place which they named “Lively Stones.” It had a big lake and they let the public come fish and had Revivals and Church functions there. A good time was had by all.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Buddy Webb, Woody James and Harold Segler; her son, Al Webb; granddaughters, Shana Eberspacher and Anja Cadenhead and son-in-law, Kenny Eberspacher, Sr.
Surviving are two daughters, Sherry Burns and husband, Randy, of Thorndale, and Kathy Haynes and husband, Scot, of Lake Jackson; step-children, Christy Braun and husband, Dane, of Dripping Springs, Nancy Grabarkewritz and husband, David, of Lockhart, and Lex, Lynn and Gina James, of Houston; seven grandchildren: Mark Webb, Paul Webb, Ken Eberspacher, Alyssa Royal, Jessica Burns, Chris Haynes and Brice Haynes; and eight great-grandchildren: Kenny “Trey” Eberspacher, Kimber Eberspacher, Jacob Eberspacher, Kole Cadenhead, Kayla Cadenhead, Zachary Webb, Lillya Webb and Reid Royal.
Active pallbearers are, Ken Eberspacher, Trey Eberspacher, Jacob Eberspacher, Mark Webb, Paul Webb, Kole Cadenhead, Joe Wilson and Chris Haynes.
Honorary pallbearers are Brice Haynes, Daryl Frederick, Garry Frederick.
