Castoria Brite

Mrs. Castoria Brite, 94, of Dale, Texas passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007 at the Guadalupe Regional Medical Center in Seguin, Texas. Mrs. Brite was born on August 15, 1912 in Caldwell County, Texas to Augusta and Maude Brown Hemphill.
Mrs. Brite, a homemaker, had lived in this area all her life. Survivors include: four children, Therlo Brite and his wife Thelma of Aus

tin, Gus and his wife Willie Mae Brite of Dale, Willie and his wife Dorothy Brite of Lockhart, Roger and his wife Leona Brite of Lockhart; daughter-in-law Hazel Brite; sisters, Ellen McNeil, Cloma Bright, and Beatrice Brown; one aunt and one niece; 14 grandchildren, and a host of great- and great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Brite was preceded in death by her husband, Therlo Brite in 1980, son, Kenneth Brite in 1995, and two grandchildren.
A visitation was held on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2007, from 5 – 9 p.m. at the Eeds Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007 at the First Methodist Church in Dale, with the Reverend Foster Roberts officiating. Burial followed immediately at the Dale Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Eddie Ray, Douglas Brite, Johnnie Brite, Phillip Brite, Leslie Brite and Willie Brite, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were: Robert Soloman, Hubert Ward and Herbert Brite.
