James Leon Farmer
Mr. James Leon Farmer, 65, of Georgetown, passed away in Austin on June 29, 2008. He was born on Jan. 2, 1943 to Floyd and Inez Barber Farmer in La Grange, Texas.
James attended Lockhart Public Schools before he began his career. He worked as an auditor for the Texas Comptroller’s office before his retirement. James was of the Episcopal faith all his life. He was ver
y active in various writing clubs and was a very good musician.
James will be deeply missed by his surviving brother, Don Farmer and his wife, Dorothy, of Lake City,Colo. He is also survived by many cousins, including Steve and Diane Barber of Georgetown.
Funeral Services were held at the Eeds Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2008, with Father Keith Turbeville of St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church of Buda officiating. Burial followed at the Lockhart City Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Steve Barber, Blake Barber, Donaly Brice, Tommy Frizell, Benny Hilburn and Earl Featherston.
