Luis C Perez Jr.
Luis C Perez Jr., 75, beloved brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, returned home on March 27, 2020, surrounded by his family after battling Alzheimer’s.
He was one of four children born on January 30, 1945 in Lockhart, Texas to Luis C. Perez Sr. and Felipa Castaneda. He graduated from Lockhart High School in 1964 and he joined the United States Army, where he served his country for 20 years. After his military service, he worked at Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) until his second retirement. He married Anita Guerra on December 5, 1970 in Luling, Texas and they were married 37 years.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Luis and Felipa Perez, his wife, Anita, and his brother, Robert C. Perez.
He is survived by his sister, Christina & Rudy Valles, of Lockhart. His daughters, Gumisinada “Gumi” Perez of Lockhart, Veronica Kerr of Austin, Gracie & Sean Kelley of Lockhart, and Velda & Chance Watson of Gatesville. His grandchildren, Everett Watson of College Station, Ella Watson of Gatesville, Bennett Kerr, Edie Kerr both of Austin and Laren Watson of Gatesville. Along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Luis was a life long member of St, Mary’s of the Visitation. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Luis.
