Fred Zapata
Mr. Fred Zapata, 67, beloved Brother, Father, Grandfather, and Great-grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on July 11, 2020. He entered this world on October 20, 1952 in Seminal, Texas, born to Emiliano and Eudelia Zapata.
Mr. Zapata was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Emiliano “Ney” Zapata,
He is survived by his two daughters, Amanda Licerio and husband, Thomas Licerio, Angela Gonzales and husband, Edward Gonzales; grandchildren, Adrianna Campos, Austin Gonzales, Ayva Gonzales, Aiden Gonzales; great-grandchild Kai “K.J.” Guadamuz; brothers, Rolando Zapata, Mario Zapata, and Jaime Mendez.
Fred served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and National Guard for 7 years.
This has been the greatest loss to his daughters and the entire family. Angela and Amanda were very much his Pride and Joy and they will continue to honor and respect him and Love him until they meet again.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2020 at DeLeon Funeral Home. Graveside service was held at 9:45 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2020 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
