Emmajean Lipes

Mrs. Emmajean Lipes, 82, of Lockhart, died Feb. 5, 2010 in Luling, Texas.

Mrs. Lipes was born July 29, 1927, in Montrose, Colo., to Walter and Nellie Maude Mueller Sparks Roatcap.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Aubrey Lipes, in 1991.

Mrs. Lipes is survived by her children, Audrey A. Vieira, of Taunton, Mass., Alice M. Pegg and husb

and, Steven, of Lockhart, James L. Lipes and wife, Nancy, of Glenwood, Iowa, and Amy S. Zoller and husband, Bob, of San Marcos; and brother, Harry Eugene Roatcap of Clifton,Colo. Four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and other family members and friends also survive.

The family suggests memorial contributions in Mrs. Lipes honor be made to Warm Springs Rehab in Luling. The cremains will be scattered privately by the family at the Royal Gorge Canyon in Colorado, at a later date.
