Bobby Charles Robertson, age 87, of Luling, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, family, creativity, and service. Born on January 11, 1939, in Hondo, Texas, Bobby was the son of Vernon and Fannie Robertson.

Bobby graduated from Eagle Pass High School in 1957. He proudly served his country in the Army of the United States from 1961 to 1963. After his military service, he came to know the Lord in 1963, a life-changing experience that became the foundation of his faith and guided him throughout the remainder of his life.

Following his military service, Bobby built a successful career as an independent contractor and instrument designer in the petrochemical industry. Through hard work, expertise, and dedication, he earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike before retiring in 2002.

Bobby’s greatest passions were his faith, his family, and his God-given talents. He was active in churches throughout the communities where he lived and faithfully served the Lord in many capacities. His commitment to ministry eventually led him to serve as pastor of Dale First Baptist Church, Dale, Texas, where he touched countless lives through his preaching, encouragement, and servant’s heart.

A gifted musician and artist, Bobby devoted thousands of hours to developing and sharing his artistic talents. He generously donated his time creating portraits for a high school fundraiser and was honored to showcase his work in an art exhibition on The Strand in Galveston during the late 1990s. Whether through music, painting, or ministry, Bobby sought to glorify God and bring joy to others.

Bobby shared a loving marriage with his wife of 45 years, Jimaree Robertson (Bertrand). Together they built a family rooted in love, faith, and perseverance.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Fannie Robertson and his brother Joey Robertson. He is survived by his wife, Jimaree Robertson; his sons, Mo Fregia and wife Judith, and Russell Robertson and wife LeAnn; and his foster son, Fredrick White. He was a proud grandfather to eleven grandchildren: Brian Fregia and wife Brooke, Zachariah Robertson, Gabrielle Robertson Billey and husband David, Mikaela Robertson, Hannah Robertson, Faith Robertson, Canaan Robertson, Jacob Fregia and wife Madison, and Joshua Fregia and wife Mackinzie. He was also blessed with eleven great-grandchildren: Jayden Southerland, Isaiah Robertson, Addelyn Southerland, Elijah Robertson, Catherine Billey, Jane Billey, Morgan Fregia, Easton Fregia, Jackson Fregia, Jefferson Fregia, and Magnolia Fregia.

Those who knew Bobby will remember a man of unwavering faith, quiet strength, artistic talent, and deep devotion to his family. He lived a life marked by service, creativity, and a sincere love for the Lord. His influence will continue through the generations of family members he cherished and the many lives he touched through his ministry, friendship, music, and art.

While his family grieves his loss, they rejoice in the assurance that Bobby’s faith has become sight and that he now rests in the presence of his Savior. His legacy of faith, love, and service will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
