Victor David McKinney

Victor David McKinney, also known as “J.W” or “Jim Willie”, formally of Lockhart, Texas passed away on August 18, 2026. at his home in Seguin, Texas. He was 69 years old.
J.W. attended school in Lockhart ISD until he obtained his CDL license and started long haul truck driving. He drove for over 30 years, eventually owning his own business McKinney Trucking until he was forced to retire when he became disabled in 2010.
He is preceded in death by mother, Frances Mozelle Giles; brother Roy Lee McKinney: grandmother, Gennie Giles; grandfather, Victor Giles; sister Mary Lucille Giles and by many cousins, aunts and uncles including Lucille Jennins, Clarence Moore, Roy Manning and David Giles.
J.W.’s departing has left a hole in the hearts of his family including: his brother, Clarence McKinney of Lockhart; his son, Domenick Torres, his grandchildren, Victoria, Tybirius, Domenick Jr. and King Torres. He is also survived by nieces and nephews including Andrea McKinney, Clarence McKinney Jr, Jordan McKinney, Sean McKinney, Carson McKinney, Aron McKinney and 1 great nephew Adonius McKinney; 2 great nieces Nova McKinney and Evelyn McKinney and sister-in-law, Denitra Murphy.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Sept 2, 2026, at Hooks Cemetery beginning at 10 AM. Honorary pallbearers are Harold Brawley, Dan Velaquez, Alex Luna, Daniel Hughes, Eric Charles Jones and Ruben Cadillo.
