Willie Dean Morgan

    Willie Dean Morgan, “Little Willie” of Lockhart, Texas, passed away on September 15, 2026. He was born in Austin, Texas to Willie Lee Morgan and Merline Morgan on April 10, 1953. He had 7 brothers and sisters. 

     On January 13, 1994 he married the love of his life Deena Dellawease Morgan. She was the light of his life and he loved to love her, spoil her, and take care of her. They were blessed with 3 children and he was blessed later on with two daughter in-laws. His children, Vanessa Kathleen Morgan, Nickolas Trevor Dean Morgan wife Hanna, and Noah Reily Morgan wife Julie, and 10 grandchildren: Ivory, Oliver, Elijah, Remington, Lexington, Arlington, Paxton, Brooklyn, Walker, and Logan, were his whole world. He loved to spoil his babies rotten, teach them all everything he could, support and love them even more. 

     Willie was a short quiet man that drove 18 wheelers for over 50 years to make a living for his family and loved ones. He was a very strong man and had been through so much in his life. He said it was a lonely life on the road but he never gave up on anything and if he didn’t know something he would figure it out. He was always outside and doing any and everything. He could fix just about anything that was broken and teach you a lesson along the way. He could drive any and everything that moved and he was so good at it. From tiny motorcycles to big trucks and anything in between there was nothing he couldn’t operate. There was nothing he couldn’t do.

     Willie loved everything, and experiencing all that he could, especially with the people he loved. He loved the moon and the stars, sun rises and sunsets, the ocean, the mountains, fishing, cars, movies, food, so many things. He loved Jesus with his whole heart. He always talked about how great Heaven would be, how wonderful it would be to meet his Savior, and how ready he was to reunite with his loved ones already up there.

     Willie is preceded in death by his wife, Deena D. Morgan, parents Willie and Merline Morgan, 8 grandchildren, 3 of his siblings, and numerous other family members and friends. 

     A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 22 at the Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Lockhart. He was laid to rest in the Lockhart City Cemetery.
