Noel Robertson

July 17, 1937 – September13, 2026

     Noel Robertson passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving behind a legacy of love, leadership, and lasting impact.

     He was born in Lake City, Colorado, on July 17, 1937. As a child, he moved with his family to Fort Worth, Texas, then to Coleman, Texas, and finally to a ranch located near Brownwood, Texas. He graduated from Zephyr High School in 1955.

     He is survived by his beloved wife, Janell Robertson; his daughter, Kelly Rosier and husband, Lynn, of Austin, Texas; his son, Kevin Robertson and wife, Supriya, of Austin, Texas; his sister, Carol Thompson of Arlington, Texas; and his cherished grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Ray and Audrey Robertson, and his brother, Kenneth Robertson of Brownwood, Texas.

     Noel was a respected leader in the Texas architecture and engineering community and served as President of O’Connell Robertson during the late 1990s and early 2000s. One of the notable milestones of his tenure came in 2002–2003, when O’Connell Robertson was selected by the State of Texas to design the official Texas 9/11 Memorial at the Texas State Cemetery. The project reflected Noel’s commitment to thoughtful design, public service, and the lasting impact architecture can have on a community.

     Upon his retirement, O’Connell Robertson established the Noel G. Robertson Endowment for Neuroscience at the Brain and Spine Center at Seton Health Network (now known as Dell Seton Medical Center), recognizing his commitment to supporting state-of-the-art healthcare facilities.

     Above all, Noel will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His leadership, kindness, wisdom, humor, and generous spirit touched many lives, and his memory will remain a cherished part of the lives of those who knew and loved him.
