Good to see Todd A. Blomerth is back to writing again.  Hope this means he is feeling well after his mishap in Russia.

He has chosen to write about a most confusing time in Texas history when A. Lincoln was gathering his troops and he was wondering which of his fighting men would stick with the Union, which would side with the South.  Does Judge B. rememb

er that Governor Sam Houston received a private message from Mr. Lincoln concerning where Sam and Texas stood on the issue?
