Aidan Hunter Smith
Aidan Hunter Smith, born July 9, 1999, became one of God”s precious angels on July 23, 2005, at age 6.
My Aidan was such a glowing light in Christ”s love. He loved learning about God”s word and His love for us. He loved singing in the choir and telling us what he learned each week. He loved learning and was a budding artist. Always with a color pencil in his hand, he c
reated masterpiece after masterpiece. Aidan”s life was full of love, family and friends. He was always full of life and energy. “Sit” and “still” were never words in his vocabulary. He always had something to say and a very detailed way to do it. He was always willing to help others. He preferred helping Mommy sweep the floor to watching TV.
My Aidan always did things at his own pace, teaching those around him much patience. He was his brother”s best friend. They were inseparable. Handing out hugs one minute, wrestling the next.
My Aidan always had a great idea. He would lay out the details and ten minutes later have an even better idea and start all over again. He was the king of the monkey bars – quick and agile. It was as close to flying as he could get. Now he”s flying free.
I”m so proud of My Aidan. Most of us go through our entire lives and never reach our full potential to fulfill God”s purpose. My baby did it in 6 years. He”s touched so many hearts. He”s made us all better parents, teachers, friends.
He is survived by his parents Bruce and Kimberly Smith and his brother, Keelan, of Lockhart. He is also survived by his grandparents, Robert and Dianne Shirey of Niederwald, Richard Roberts of San Marcos, Linda and Delbert Johnston of Dale, and Gregg Smith of Austin. His great-grandparents are Bonnie Guy of Lake City, Ark., Imogene Roberts of Alexander City, Ala., Palmer and Ann Martin and Barbara Spedoni of Lockhart. He has several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family who will also miss him dearly.
