Acie Miller passed away on April 29, 2007 leaving his beloved family and many friends behind.
He was born in Lockhart, Texas on June 20, 1920 to Carl and Ethel Miller who preceded him in death. He was enlisted in the United States Army from Aug. 3, 1946 to March 16, 1949. He received an Honorable Discharge from the service on March 16, 1949. He attended Tilmon Public S

chools.
Shortly after his service time, he moved to Michigan and was employed by Ford Motor Company for more than thirty years. In 1979 he returned to Texas and lived his life out with a host of family and his many friends.
He is survived by his two daughters: Cheryl Thorn and Lorraine Burrell; six grandchildren, Jerome E. Thorn Jr., Aaron V. Thorn, Rachel N. Thorn, Dawon Burrell, Rhonda Burrell and Antoine Burrell; and two great-grandsons David and James, along with a host of nephews and nieces, one sister-in-law, Ruth E. Miller of Lockhart, Texas.
His was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.
Mr. Miller will be honored by his family and friends with a visitation on Thursday, May 3, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Eeds Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 4 at 10 a.m. at the St. Mark”s United Methodist Church with Pastor Foster Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at the Fort Sam Houston Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas at 1:45 p.m. All services with Eeds Funeral Home, 408 South Main, Lockhart, Texas 78644. (512) 398-2343.
