James Brewer, 84 passed away Saturday May 5, 2007.
He was born Oct. 11, 1922 in Lytton Springs, Texas, where he spent most of his life.
Mr. Brewer served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was injured in France and was awarded the Purple Heart. During his life he worked as a carpenter and a cattle rancher. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Order o

f the Eastern Star, and the Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine (Tiny) Brewer in 1986.
He is survived by his three children, Jim Brewer of Lytton Springs, Bill Brewer of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Beverly Brewer of Luling; grandchildren, Ric Brewer, Don Brewer, Cassie Brewer, Kevin Brewer and J.R. Nelson; a sister, Alma Strawn.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday, May 9 at 2 p.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home in Lockhart followed by burial in the Lytton Springs Cemetery.
