Clayton Withers, 92, of Lockhart, passed away Monday, June 19, 2006, at Chisolm Trail Nursing and Rehab.
He was born on July 27, 1913, in Lockhart to Rayford and Lois (Hanson) Withers.
He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a major stockholder in the Lockhart Creamery and Superior Dairies. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a mem

ber of the First Christian Church of Lockhart.
Clayton was preceded in death by his parents, Rayford and Lois Withers.
He is survived by his two sons, Clark Withers of Mathis and Gordon Withers of Luling; his daughter, Gail Allen of Lockhart; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2006, in the McCurdy Memorial Chapel with Rev. Randall Frye officiating. Interment will follow in the Lockhart City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Withers, Mark Withers, Cody Allen, Duke Fairchild, Rick Schmidt and Jarin Arhelger.
