Clifton Alvin McMullen
Clifton Alvin McMullen passed away on Feb. 19, 2007 at his residence in Emory. He was 75 years old. Born in Delhi, Texas on Aug. 22, 1931, the son of Turner Charles and Myrtie Virginia Cox McMullen, he married Kay Lynn Etter on August 15, 1983 in Grand Prairie, Texas. He was retired from Raytheon Aeronautics where he worked as a designer in space systems. He was a member of
Clark”s Chapel Church of God, a U.S. Air Force veteran, member of the National Republican Convention, the AARP, the N.R.A. and he was a world traveler.
His survivors are wife Kay Lynn McMullen, of Emory; daughters Trish Hamaker of Arlington, Sherrie Lynn McMullen of Arlington, Christine McMullen Moore of Irving, Rachel Lynn McMullen of Emory, and Michelle Kay McMullen of Emory; sister Edna Merle Patton of Luling; grandchildren Elizabeth and Daniel Hamaker, Matthew Walls, and Jenna Moore; many nieces and nephews; many friends he considered family, and his 13 year old Schnauzer, “Susie”.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at Clark”s Chapel Church of God, with Rev. Earl Akin officiating. Burial will be at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton, Texas on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD.
