The Lockhart City Council on Tuesday didn’t horse around following a public hearing on a homeowner’s appeal of the city’s planning and zoning board’s Feb. 28 decision to allow Maverick Horseback a permit to allow a riding facility, barn and stables on land located at 1011 Flores Road.
The council voted 5-0 to uphold the permit granted by P&Z to allow Joan Marie McCoy the specific use permit, which gives her the green light to legally use the 105 acres she lives on for events like birthday parties.
