Domingo “Mingo” Gonzalez Zuniga from Blanco, Texas, was born in Vallehermoso, Tampaulipas, Mexico on December 24, 1942, son to the late Esteban and Julia Gonzalez Zuniga. Domingo passed away peacefully, Friday, January 29, 2021 at the age of 78.

He is preceded by death by his late partner, Barbara Thorpe; His daughter Frances Garcia; His sisters, Hortencia Z Sustaita, Nazaria Z Perez, Gregoria Zuniga and Apolonia Zuniga and his brothers, Antonio Zuniga, Alberto Zuniga, Juanito Zuniga, Helidorio Zuniga, Monserato Zuniga and Cresensio Zuniga.

Mingo is survived by his children, Rafael (wife, Antonia); Eva (husband, Mike): Mary Jane (husband, Alex); Valentin and Domingo Jr, and 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Mingo is also survived by his brothers, Lorenzo Zuniga of Vallehermoso, Tamp and Secundino Zuniga of Brownsville, Texas and many nieces and nephews, who he adored.

Domingo was a construction worker most of his life, after retirement he became bored and became a Ranch hand in Blanco, Texas.  Domingo and Barbara were very artistic and built many beautiful pieces together but were most proud of the home they built together in Blanco, Texas with their own hands and sweat. 

Graveside services were held at St Mary’s Cemetery, 1104 N Commerce St, Lockhart, Texas 78644 on Thursday, February 4th.

Pallbearers: Christopher Zuniga, David Zuniga, Jr, Jesse Zuniga, Christian Sustaita Zuniga, Alex Aguilar, Jamarcus Brooks, and Victor Guzman.
