Donald C. Cooper
Donald C. Cooper, 61, of Lockhart, passed away on Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, at South Austin Hospital.
He was born on Oct. 22, 1944, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Allen Cal and Doris Jewel (O”Donnell) Cooper.
Donald was married to Susan Rogers on Oct. 14, 1972, in Houston. He volunteered much of his time as a coordinator and trainer of new volunteers for Crisis Hotline
in Houston, and also volunteered for the Governor”s Runaway Hotline in Austin. Donald worked as a design engineer at the University of Texas for 19 years. He was a proud Democrat and a member of the UMM of the First United Methodist Church of Lockhart.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Doris Cooper.
He is survived by his wife Susan Rogers Cooper of Lockhart; his daughter Evin E. Cooper of Lockhart; one grandson Tristan Cooper-Brooks; and one sister, Frances Romero and her husband Leroy of Groves, Texas.
Memorial services will be held at the First Methodist Church of Lockhart on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at 3 p.m.
