Early voting begins on Monday in the hotly-contested Lockhart Independent School District Board of Trustees election, as well as in the municipal elections for the City of Lockhart and the City of Uhland. strict to annex nearly 77,440 acres of property in Caldwell County.
Early voting for the City of Uhland election will take place at the Uhland Community Center, 15 N. Old Spanish Trail in Uhland. Polls will be open for early voting Monday – Friday, April 28 – May 2 and again on Monday and Tuesday, May 5 – 6.
During the first week of early voting, polls will be open on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from 9 a.m. – noon. On Monday, May 5, polls will also be open from 9 a.m. – noon. Both Tuesdays, the polls will be open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Early voting for the City of Lockhart, Lockhart Independent School District and the Gonzales County Underground Water Conservation District will be held at Lockhart Hall, Monday – Friday, April 28 – May 2, and again on Monday and Tuesday, May 5 – 6.
The polls will be open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 29 – 30, and from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on all other early voting days.
The general election will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2008.
