J.H. runners improve times

On Saturday, Oct. 1, the Lockhart Junior High girls cross country team competed at McNeil.
It is hard to imagine a junior high race with about 500 boys and girls on the starting line, but that is what the girls competed against last weekend. It was much larger and more competitive than any race they have seen all season.

“The girls ran a great race, and even made it through the pushing and shoving throughout the race by fellow competitors trying to squeeze through the narrow course,” said Coach Shelia West.
