J.V. softball continues winning streak


The Lady Lion junior varsity team softball team continued their winning streak by stomping Pflugerville Hendrickson 11-0 on Tuesday, March 29.
The winning pitcher was Naomi Oliva who threw four complete innings, giving up only one hit, and striking out four batters.
“The Lady Lions shut down Hendrickson with excellent execution offensively and defensively,” Coach

Alisha Homann said.
Big hitters for the Lady Lions were Jaimie Ruiz who went two for three with an RBI, Courtney Lee with an in the park homerun and two RBI”s, Krista Law with a double and an RBI, Oliva with a double and two RBI”s, Erika Levario who went one for two with a single and 2 RBI”s, and Brandi Alvarez with a single.
The Lady Lions are now 4-0 in district and 7-1 overall. Their next home game will be against Vista Ridge on Friday, April 8, at 5:30 p.m.
