Lincoln “Ted” Randle, Jr., entered into eternal rest when the Lord called him home on the evening of Jan. 31, 2013. He was born on Feb. 11, 1941, in Seguin to Lincoln and Alene Erskine Randle, Sr.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Hazel L. Cockrum; parents, Lincoln and Alene Erskine Randle, Sr.; two children, Lincoln Randle, III, and Lamonia P. Randle

; two sisters, Doris Moore and Fannie Mae Miller; three brothers: Freddie B. Randle, Charles L. Randle and Wilma (Opie) Randle.

He was a graduate of Carver High School. He joined Daniel Chapel United Methodist Church in Tilmon, Texas at an early age. He was an active member, serving in all areas needed in the operation of the church. By the closing of Daniel Chapel Church, he found great joy being a member at St. Mark’s Baptist Church in Lockhart, under the leadership of Pastor Mae Fletcher, where he served on the treasury board and other areas of need.

We acknowledge his great and outstanding work with Exxon-pipe line where he was employed for 26 years until his retirement. He also held various positions on many committees: Dickerson cemetery, Nash Creek Cemetery, Erskine family reunion president, Randle family reunion president and much, much more. Lincoln was also a Mason and served in the United States Army.

He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, family, friends and his animals.

He leaves to cherish and carry on his memories two daughters, Sharon (Geoffrey) Beverly, of Austin, and Vonda Cabiness, of Luling; three sons: Keith Randle, of Austin, Chad Randle of Dallas, and Lamont (Sharla) Randle, of Del Valle; two brothers, Gene “Sonny” Randle, and Frank Randle, both of Luling; one sister, May Randle, of Luling; grandchildren: Lamont Randle, Jr., Lauren Randle, Lincoln Randle, IV, Chad Randle, Jr., and La Crisha (James) Smith; one great-grandchild, Sage V. Smith; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other loved ones.

A viewing and visitation was held from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., with a wake beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, Friday, February 8th at Eeds Funeral Home. Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9,m 2013 at the First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Frits Williams officiating.

Serving as the pallbearers were: Richard Moya, Kelvin Williams, David Hill, Mike Londale, Carey Manning, and Lee Wheelis. Serving as the honorary pallbearer was Johnning Miles.

Burial followed at Nash Creek Cemetery in Belmont, Texas.

    Mr. Randle was a great man.. I had the pleasure of meeting him several times (sometimes not under the best of circumstances).. I’ll never forget the time he tried to use his tractor to pull our ambulance out of the sand..

    He will be sorely missed…

    My heart stopped when I opened the paper & saw Ted’s smiling face in the obituaries. Ted was an angel on earth. His heart was big as the world. I will miss him dearly. I would like to extend my deepest condolences to his family! Bridgett ( Bobbie Jean Williams’ daughter)
