The Lockhart Lions will have their Maroon and White Spring Football Game on Thursday, May 18 at Lions Stadium.

“This will be an intersquad scrimmage with our football team to showcase all the work they have put in since April 19,” said LHS Coach Todd Moebes. “Our staff is very pleased with their growth thus far. Having Spring Football allows our staff to answer many questions we had from the previous season. It also allows us to ask more questions as we go into Summer ROAR and continue to evaluate our system and personnel.”

The Lions are comi ng off an 8-4 season where they reached the second round of the Class 5A D2 playoffs.

The Spring Game also allows for other fall Friday night participants such as the Roaring Lion Band, Lionnettes and Cheerleaders to showcase their new members.

At 6 p.m. on the night fo the game, Lockhart’s Special Olympic athletes will enter the stadium, walk down the visitors sideline then across the field to the home side. They will then run a 50-meter dash in front of the Lockhart Community. “This will be a tremendous start to a great event recognizing Lockhart High School at its finest,” Moebes said.
