Candidate for Lockhart City Council District 4

I was born and raised in Lockhart, Texas, graduated from Lockhart High School and Texas State University with a BS in Agricultural Business.
I retired from LCRA after 23 years, where I was a manager in the Project Management Office. I led a team of 20 project managers who contributed to the completion of $500 million in capital projects. Today, I work at Capital Title as a Business Development Representative.
My professional experience includes scope definition, budgeting, cost control, risk management, problem-solving, and leading diverse teams to project completion. I am a collaborator, strong communicator and an “out-of-the-box” thinker who looks for practical solutions.
For more than 36 years, I have proudly volunteered in and supported our community, serving with the Lockhart Chamber of Commerce, Lockhart Animal Foundation, Lockhart Celebrates America 250 committee, Betas, Lockhart CTR, Lockhart Parks Board, Planning and Zoning Committee, and LPD Victim Assistance Team.
All of my experiences have prepared me to serve as an effective City Council member. I am concerned about rising taxes and utility rates, the condition of our streets, parks, buildings, and cemetery. I believe raising taxes should not always be the answer. I understand that every dollar spent winds up in your utility rates or property taxes. As we continue to grow, we will be challenged to manage that growth responsibly and still maintain the small town feel that we all love. I want to continue to serve my community, that’s why I’m humbly asking for your vote on November 3rd.
