Mary “Terry” Teresa Rogers passed away on March 26, 2018 at Legend Oaks Rehabilitation in Kyle, with her parents by her side. Terry was born on February 26, 1962 to Jesse and Evangeline Teneyuque and graduated from Lockhart High School in 1981.
Terry was a very friendly and outgoing person. Terry never met a stranger she befriended anyone she encountered, she volunteered at the Lockhart Independent School Disrict when her daughter’s were in elementary school. She worked for seven years at the Cub House. She was a very immaculate housekeeper like her mom, and she enjoyed going shopping with her mother. Terry was working as a caregiver before becoming ill.
Terry is survived by her parents, Jesse Teneyuque and Evangeline Maciel Teneyuque; daughters, Kasey Rogers and Laura Torres; grandchildren, Brandon and Haley Rogers; brother, Jesse Maciel and his wife Kathy; sisters, Diane Leal and her husband Joe, Sandra Teneyuque and her husband Victor, Becky Teneyuque and her husband Richard; nephews, Larry Maciel, Jesse Maciel Jr., Joseph Gonzales, Victor Uvalle, Richard Angel Sanchez Jr.; nieces, Liza Gonzales, Angela Marie Maciel, Kyra Evangeline Sanchez; eight great nieces and five great nephews.
Terry was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lauro and Maria Maciel, Abraham and Margarita Teneyuque; uncles, Abraham Teneyuque Jr., Victor Maciel and Joe Maciel; aunts, Martina Teneyuque Perez, Leonor Teneyuque Alvarado, and Dolores Maciel.
The family would like to thank the physicians and nurses of Dell Seton Medical Center and Legend Oaks Rehabilitation in Kyle for all the care and compassion that was given to our daughter and sister with this devastating illness that she eventually succumbed to.
There will be a private Catholic Memorial Service Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lockhart.
