Mildred Chapman Freitag, 68, of Lockhart, formerly of Austin, passed away on Jan. 15 in Lockhart. She was born on Sept. 15, 1936 in Austin to Henry Herff Chapman and Reba Lucille Dunlap Chapman. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Henry Chapman. She is survived by her sons, Brenton K. Freitag of Lockhart; Milam K. Freitag of San Francisco, Calif.; daughte

r, Camilla Freitag of Austin; brother, William A. Chapman and wife Lucy of Lockhart; sister, Norma Skinner and husband Samuel of Lockhart. She graduated from Austin High School Class of 1953; was a Troop leader for the Girl Scouts of America, a secretary in the PTA, church secretary and a member of the Bob Thieme Bible Ministry. Her chosen profession was in the medical and legal fields as a secretary. Visitation was held on Monday, Jan. 17 at McCurdy Funeral Home. Services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 18 at McCurdy Memorial Chapel. Internment followed at the Lockhart City Cemetery, Rev. Wayne Walther officiated.
