Mildred Holz, of Niederwald, Texas, passed away in San Marcos, Texas on Friday, March 10, 2006, at the age of 79. She was born on Oct. 25,1926, in Niederwald, to Adolph Holz and Bertha (Borchers) Holz.
She was a life long member of United Church of Christ at Niederwald. She was a member of Rogers Ranch 9-Pin bowling club. She was a pasty cook for Lockhart ISD for 23 y
ears. She retired in 1999.
Mildred was preceded in death of her parents, five brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her nephews Roland Holz of Marion, Gene Stuenkel of Niederwald, Bert Stuenkel of Austin, Dean Holz of Cedar Park, Wayne Holz of Manor, David Holz of Cedar Park, Gary Counts of Austin, Darryl Counts of Maxwell, Gerald Counts of Maxwell; niece Frieda Ewald of Caldwell; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives.
Funeral Services were held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, 2006 at McCurdy Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Craig Nakawaga officiating. Interment followed at Live Oak Cemetery in Uhland, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers were Greg Stuenkel, Monte Stuenkel, Jeffrey Stuenkel, Dean Holz, Wayne Holz and Darryl Counts
