Ruby Strawn

Mrs. Ruby Raye Strawn passed away at the Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster, Texas on April 22, 2007. She was born on Oct. 5, 1929 to Jack and Ettie Hanson in Luling, Texas. She was a resident of Alvin, Texas but had lived many years in the Caldwell County area. She was a Baptist and longtime member of the Highland Hills Baptist Church in San Antonio.

s survived by her husband Deloy Strawn whom she married in Lockhart, Texas on June 5, 1948. She is survived also by her children: Barbara Deeds of Alvin, Texas; Virginia Williams and husband Mark of Webster, Texas; and Mike and Debra Strawn of Alvin, Texas; one sister, Evelyn Edmundson of Premont, Texas; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The Strawn family had a private family viewing on Wednesday, April 25 at the Eeds Funeral Home Chapel from 3:30 until 5 p.m. A visitation was held at the Eeds Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, April 26, beginning at 9 a.m. The funeral service was held on Thursday, April 26 at 1 p.m. with Doctor David Strawn officiating. Burial followed immediately at the Lytton Springs Cemetery, Lytton Springs, Texas.
