Stock show raises $92,000 for students

More than 120 youths from area 4-H and FFA clubs entered the 28th Annual Caldwell County Livestock Show and Sale last weekend. Another 60 participated in the Project Fair, giving them the opportunity to display their creative abilities in several areas.
Members of the community turned out in droves for Saturday evening”s

auction. When all was said and done, 85 lots were sold for a grand total of $92,346. The participants will keep their money, either to reinvest in their projects or as scholarship money for college.
Many of the participants from the Caldwell County Junior Livestock Show will continue working with their animals in preparation for other shows, including the San Antonio Livestock Show, the Houston Livestock Show and the Star of Texas Livestock Show and Rodeo.
