William Alex

William “Bill” Alex, 77, of Lockhart, Texas, passed away on July 4, 2014. He was born on April 5, 1937, in Luling, Texas, to Henry C. and Gertrude Schreiber Alex.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Alice Alex and Imelda Bailey; and his brother-in-law, Milton Pfefferkorn.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Annie Mae Thompson Alex; two sons, Samm

y Ernest Alex and wife, Peggy, and William Henry Alex and wife, Cindy; two daughters, Leslie Ann Lee and Billie Ann Loep and husband, Jack; one brother, Melvin H. Alex; two sisters, Allyne Pippus and husband, C.A., and Lillian Pfefferkorn; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family received friends at McCurdy Funeral Home from 6 – 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2014. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2014, at McCurdy with Pastor Clint Browning officiating. Interment to follow at Luling City Cemetery in Luling.
