Be Aware Be Prepared Texas gives to Precinct 4

    Caldwell County Constable Precinct 4 recently received free Narcan through Be Aware Be Prepared Texas to help expand access to this life-saving medication in our community. 

    The precinct would like to recognize Pastor Jodi of the Old Lytton Springs Church for graciously allowing a Narcan distribution center to be placed at that location, along with the Dale Community center, for making this important resource available to anyone who may need it.

What is Narcan?

Narcan (naloxone) Narcan (naloxone) is an emergency medication used to rapidly reverse the life-threatening effects of an opioid overdose. It works by quickly knocking opioids off their receptors in the brain, restoring normal breathing and consciousness within minutes

    Opioid overdoses can happen to anyone including friends, family members, coworkers, or neighbors. Having Narcan available and knowing how to use it can make all the difference during an emergency.
