Ada Frances Seitter Freeman, of Lockhart, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the age of 84.
Frances was born in the James Walker Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, N.C. on Aug. 26, 1930, to William Frederick Seitter and Grace Rhodes Seitter.
In 1944, Solon Gore Long became her wonderful stepfather and introduced her to the Baptist faith.
Frances graduated from the New H

anover High School in 1948 and from the North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem in 1951. She practiced her profession as a registered nurse for several years before returning to school at Carson Newman College in Jefferson City Tennessee where she graduated with honors in 1959.
After two years of study at the Southeaster Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forrest, N.C., she married Jesse Lewis Freeman, Jr., of Katy, Texas. They became farmers and ranchers in Caldwell County, Texas.
Frances worked for 30 years in the McMahan Church and served in the Lockhart PTA, the Lockhart Music Club, volunteer community projects and the Texas Angus Auxiliary.
Her parents, step-father, and husband predeceased her.
Survivors of the home are her two sons, William Tod Freeman and wife, Karen Moore, of McMahan, and Troy Andrew Freeman and wife, Tina Morgan, of McMahan; and two grandchildren: Logan Ryan Freeman, of Ennis, and William Alexander Freeman, of McMahan.
Family received friends at McCurdy Funeral Home from 5 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Funeral services were scheduled at McCurdy Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2015.
