City manager Rodgers postpones retirement date

Longtime Lockhart City Manager Vance Rodgers will wait a little longer before he rides off into the sunset.
Rodgers, who had announced a retirement date of June 30 back at the beginning of January, offered to extend his employment after the Lockhart City Council decided to start over on its search for his successor.
On Tuesday, the city council voted to take him up on his offer, deciding unanimously to keep Rodgers as city manager through Sept. 30 – the end of the current fiscal year.
