Deputy Morgan seriously injured after on-duty crash

A Caldwell County deputy remained in critical condition on Wednesday morning after being involved in an automobile accident on Monday evening.
Deputy Robert Morgan, 33, was transported to Brackenridge hospital on Monday evening after a collision in his patrol car.
According to Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office Pub

lic Information Officer Paul Cowan, Morgan was responding to a call to assist another deputy in a foot pursuit when his vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree.
Morgan suffered serious injuries in the accident, which happened just before 7 p.m. on Monday on State Park Road in Lockhart.
Cowan said the accident is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
While some sources said Morgan was responding to treatment, clear information on his condition or the extent of his injuries was not available at press time.

    It’s been almost ten years but I have fully recovered and am currently employed with the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office.
