Hale named new principal at Clear Fork Elementary

The Lockhart Independent School District announced the selection last week of Michelle Hale as Clear Fork Elementary School’s new principal.

With an educational career spanning 27 years, Hale brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Lockhart ISD. She currently serves as principal at R. O’Hara Lanier Elementary School in Brazosport ISD. Prior to serving in Brazosport ISD, Hale was principal of Aransas Pass High School from 2019-2022 and Charlie Marshall Elementary from 2016-2017, both in Aransas Pass ISD. She was also Assistant Principal at Ingleside ISD’s Ingleside High School from 2017-2019. 

She was named Teacher of the Year at Rockport Fulton Middle School in 2013 and received Aransas County ISD’s Secondary Teacher of the Year award in the same year. 

Hale holds certifications in Principal Grades EC-12, Elementary Self-Contained Grades 1-8, Elementary Mathematics  Grades 1-8, Gifted and Talented, and T-TESS. She also has extended experience with special education through co-teaching in an inclusion classroom for many years.

Hale began her educational career at Highland Avenue Christian School, where she taught from 1995-2008. She served as a math teacher at Rockport Fulton Middle School in Aransas County ISD from 2008-2013 and as a Math Specialist and Instructional Coordinator in Aransas Pass ISD from 2013-2016.

Hale’s passion for education is evident in her involvement in curriculum development, data-driven decision-making, and her commitment to student success. Her qualifications are underlined by her exceptional communication, classroom management skills, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 

Hale holds a Master of Science in Curriculum & Instruction with a Mathematical Emphasis and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Mathematical Emphasis, both from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

“We are thrilled to welcome Michelle Hale to Lockhart ISD as the new principal of Clear Fork Elementary,” said Superintendent Mark Estrada. “Her extensive experience, exemplary leadership skills, and dedication to student achievement make her the ideal candidate to lead Clear Fork Elementary into the future.”

Hale will officially assume her role as principal of Clear Fork Elementary on June 5. A meet and greet session for families and community members will take place at 5:30 p.m. on April 8, at Clear Fork Elementary to welcome Michelle to the Clear Fork Elementary community.
