With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the remarkable journey of Mrs. Juanita Juarez Galvez, who passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025, at the age of 99. Born on January 27, 1926, to Benino Juarez and Maria Gonzalez, Juanita was a beacon of strength, warmth, and kindness to all who knew her.
Juanita’s legacy is one of unwavering devotion to her family and an enduring spirit of love that will continue to shine in the lives of those she leaves behind. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who nurtured generations with her wisdom and gentle heart.
She is now reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband, Pedro “Pete” Galvez, her parents; her daughters, Alicia Camacho and Amelia Mayo; her grandchildren, Joseph Brandon Mayo, Faith Galvez, and Peggy Sue Camacho; her great-granddaughter, Madison Camacho; and her siblings, Guadalupe Juarez, Polo Juarez, Andrea Medina, Dolores Oliva, Maria Castañeda, and Delfina Balandran. Their memories will forever be cherished by those who remain.
Juanita’s legacy continues through her loving children: Adam Galvez, wife Ramona, Gilbert Galvez, wife Sylvia, and Amado Galvez; as well as her son-in-law, Joe Mayo; grandchildren, Adam Q. Galvez, Cynthia Vassaur, David Camacho, Alysia Mayo, Jacob Mayo, Jason Mayo, and her beloved “JuJu”, along with her numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Juanita’s presence brought warmth and joy to every gathering, her love for family unwavering and boundless. She was the heart of her family, offering support, wisdom, and laughter through the years. Though she will be dearly missed, her legacy of love and strength will live on through the generations she so deeply cherished.
The family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace and rejoices in the many beautiful memories she has left behind.

The Holy Rosary will be recited by Deacon Scott Dillon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025 at St. Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at St. Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church, with Father Ramiro Tarazona officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
