November Volunteers of the Month

The Caldwell County Food Bank would like to recognize their November Volunteers of the Month Helen and Ed Smith; The dynamic duo.

CCFD are excited to celebrate two outstanding members of their volunteer community. Their favorite part about volunteering is helping others and meeting wonderful new people. 

In their free time, Ed enjoys playing golf and Helen enjoys shopping but they both enjoy riding motorcycles. Ed was born and raised in Nebraska, but couldn’t wait to get to Texas. Helen finds joy in living life to the fullest and having fun every day. Ed is most proud that Helen has put up with him for all these years, and Helen is especially proud of her family and grandkids. 

Both are always willing to help others and make a difference. When it comes to advice, Ed lives by the words of his father: “Never give up. Don’t be like me, be better!” Helen’s approach is practical: “Don’t fix it, if it isn’t broken!”
