Do you ever wonder what type of advertising works for your business? It really varies from business to business believe it or not. There are many choices to choose from… print, digital, social media, billboard and other options that people use to get their name and their business out to customers.
The Lockhart Post-Register (LPR) wants to help you get your name out in several different ways this summer.
Always looking for cost-effective and beneficial platforms, the LPR has come up with some new avenues for this summer as well as some tried and true projects.
Lets start with the new goodies.
Caldwell County
Business Directory
Place your ad in this full color, glossy, annual business directory that will include all of Caldwell County. From retail to dining to services you can list your business here for as little as $40. This convenient sized 44 page guide is good to keep in your car, your home or in your bag. Most of all it will include and reach all of Caldwell County.
Lockhart Visitor’s Map
When visitors come to town how do you know if they found you or not? You don’t! But now you can make it one step easier for them.
The LPR is introducing a large tri-fold, full color map that encompasses the whole town of Lockhart including every business type! Best of all it starts at only $20 to be included on the map for a listing or place a larger ad for only $50. No matter what type of business you own, there is always a place on the map for you.
Both the Caldwell County Business Directory and the Lockhart Visitor’s Map will be published in June with a shelf life of one year. Both of these pieces will be available at each advertising business as well as at other high traffic areas that are open 7 days a week.
There is limited space in both the directory and the map so hurry and reserve your ad space today and we will help you create an ad that will be both eye catching and effective.
Graduation Cheers
This annual keepsake edition will come out next week and you can wish the Class of 2026 or a special graduate well for as little as $55. All ads will appear in color as well.
Chisholm Trail
Homecoming Rodeo
The guide to the city’s hottest festival, literally, will once again be published to include the schedule of events, the features that will be at the events leading up to the big weekend of June 12-13. This annual special section will be published in the June 11 LPR.
Caldwell Compass Summer 2026 Issue
Last year we introduced the Caldwell Compass. This full color glossy magazine has been a great piece for locals and visitors alike. The Compass includes stories about all the great things that can be found in Caldwell County. From the people to the places, everyone can learn something new when they are here.
This magazine is produced quarterly and provides a multitude of options for advertising from business card to full page sizes.
Our next issue will be coming out in July with a deadline approaching of June 5. Don’t miss out.
Lockhart Post-Register
And don’t forget…. print is not dead. It is alive and well! The LPR focuses on rural community news that you cannot find anywhere else. Government news, local sports coverage, festivals and events and the latest happenings for your family are all featured in the weekly LPR.
Does that mean we don’t like digital? Heck no, we know that picking up a copy of the latest edition isn’t feasible for those who live near or far. To make sure that family across the country can keep up on the news, the LPR publishes the same newspaper online that we print and deliver to your doorstep or place on the news stand every week.
The cost of everything seems to be rising so the LPR is very cognizant of the pricing they place on all their advertising projects. We know some business just can’t afford to be in everything, so we make sure they can afford to be in as much as they can and it still benefit them.
One thing that the LPR reminds advertisers when they are trying to find out what works best for them is simply to ask your customers how did you hear about us. You may be surprised as to how many times you hear I saw it in the newspaper.
Recently we had a business owner who stated she had received a large donation for a drive they were conducting. The gentleman told her I have all this stuff I was going to throw away but I saw the article in the newspaper and thought I would donate it to you. This is just another testimonial as to the effectiveness of the hometown community newspaper.
