Radio Lockhart celebrates first anniversary

On June 1, 2025, KLKT 107.9 FM, Lockhart’s only community radio station, celebrated its first anniversary with a vibrant party at Commerce Hall.
The event featured live music from local legend James McMurtry and Austin psych rockers Gran Moreno, as well as DJ sets by Adrian Quesada, Hippie Scum, and Giant Hornets from Japan.
Attendees enjoyed cake, snacks, a photo booth, and exclusive merchandise, all contributing to a festive atmosphere that honored the station’s milestone.
KLKT, known as Radio Lockhart, has spent the past year delivering diverse programming to the community, including shows like “Music Like Dirt.” The station operates as a 100% volunteer-driven nonprofit, reflecting its commitment to community engagement and local storytelling.
